First for SWat, Sixth for Kath. Beautiful day for a run!
Some younguns thought they could beat Todd and tried the "go out fast and hang on" tactic. They were unsuccessful. Todd-O won by almost a minute and the younguns weren't 2, 3. Kath and I started with a male fan club. I don't blame them. Reeled Man in Red in after the turn. Realizing just about now that I don't have much specificity. Puddles galore. Kath had a bright shirted friend of her own. Kath and I lived and met our goal of "see what happens when you run 15K faster than you've run since last year at this time." Todd dominated. 2014 is really happening! May is here, which means it's officially race season. Todd won Rollin' Irish Half Marathon last weekend in some nasty (albeit classic Rollin' Irish) weather. LT is back on her feet post-Boston, looking towards a half at VCM. Will, Seth and Ben are base building for Toronto and hitting up spring races including a prestigious Mutt Strutt next weekend with Olde Bones dogs Watson and Rosie.
Tomorrow is the Champlain Classic in Shelburne, which Kath and Sarah (and maybe Todd) will tackle in the rain (and maybe thunderstorms). Time to break out the singlets! |
