We're growing! Their profiles will be added to the website soon but we are so excited to welcome Adron Pitmon and Laurel Cole to the Olde Bones Track Club.
Adron was a high school and college standout, holding the Division I 800 State Record for a time in Vermont. He just bettered his 800 PR with a post-college run of 1:52.69 at a recent Twilight Meet in Boston. Adron shows exceptional talent throughout the mid-distances and we look forward to supporting his development over the next few years. Plus, we want to stage a run-off between Adron and our resident All-American Ben, who still has the better PR at 1:52.00.
Laurel is also a fellow MMU high school standout who opted out of collegiate running to move up to the half marathon and marathon distance where she shows serious promise. Laurel is a diverse runner, with strong PRs from 800 and the 1500, as well as in cross country. We suspect she'll be a competitor in USATF New England's All Terrain Runner series in 2015.
Fun fact, the addition of Adron and Laurel makes three Olde Bones runners who have compartment syndrome. Interesting coincidence...
